Footwear Policy Update

Due to numerous complaints and growing health concerns, we are updating our gym policy regarding barefoot workouts. Effective immediately, all members are required to keep their feet covered at all times while using the gym facilities. At a minimum, socks must be worn.

We recognize that certain exercises can benefit from training without shoes. However, going barefoot in shared workout areas increases the risk of spreading infections such as athlete’s foot, plantar warts, and more serious conditions like MRSA. While we maintain rigorous cleaning protocols, gyms are naturally high-risk environments for these types of infections.

Wearing socks or minimalist footwear allows you to maintain proper form and control during exercises, while significantly reducing the risk of health issues for yourself and others.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping our gym a safe and healthy space for everyone.
